Ben Tirran

Ben Tirran is a Scottish-bred blackcurrant, developed by the Scottish Crop Research Institute and released in 1990.

Its late flowering makes it far less susceptible to frost damage than earlier varieties, while its vigorous, upright growth delivers consistently good yields.

The tart, full-flavoured berries suit cooking, preserving and freezing.
