Brith Mawr is a rediscovered Welsh dual-purpose apple valued for its versatility in cooking, fresh eating after storage, and cider making.
It produces a sharply flavoured fruit that softens and mellows over time, making it highly adaptable in both kitchen and orchard use.

Origins / Notes
Originally recorded in Newport, South Wales (1934), where it was once widely grown before disappearing from records.
The variety was later rediscovered near Cardiff and identified by Fair Oak Nurseries, leading to its reintroduction and preservation as part of Welsh apple heritage.
