Dabinett is one of the most important traditional English cider apples, producing a soft, full-bodied bittersweet cider with excellent balance and depth.
It is widely regarded as a benchmark vintage cider variety.

Origins / Notes
Originated in Somerset and became widely established in traditional West Country cider orchards during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It remains one of the finest and most widely planted bittersweet cider apples in Britain.

Generally healthy and reliable with good orchard performance and moderate disease resistance.

Late season, typically October to early November.
Storage
Stores for around 2 months in cold storage. Best pressing window is from harvest into early winter, when tannins and sugars produce a balanced, rounded cider.
