Falstaff is a reliable modern dessert apple developed in Kent, producing crisp, juicy fruit with excellent balanced flavour.
Sweet-sharp at harvest, the apples mellow beautifully in storage, becoming sweeter and softer textured over time.

Origins / Notes
Developed at the East Malling Research Station in Kent and introduced in 1966. Falstaff quickly became popular for its dependable cropping, excellent flavour, and adaptability to UK growing conditions.

Resistant to powdery mildew.

Harvesting Season
Mid to late season, typically late September to October.
Storage
Stores for up to 4 months in cold storage. Best eating window is from autumn into mid-winter, when flavour mellows and sweetness develops further.
