Gascoigne’s Scarlet is a traditional Kent dessert apple producing firm, fine-textured fruit with a mildly sweet, sharp and fruity flavour.
It is a reliable heritage variety particularly suited to chalky soils.

Origins / Notes
Originated at Bapchild Court, Sittingbourne in Kent in 1871. It has long been valued as a dependable English dessert apple with good flavour and strong orchard performance.

Late season, typically October.
Storage
Stores well for up to 3 months in cold storage.
Best eating window is from autumn into early winter, when flavour remains fresh and texture stays firm.
