Morgan Sweet is a traditional Somerset cider apple that produces a light, early-style cider with a distinctive fruity character.
It is also valued as a cooking apple and has long been popular in South Wales.

Origins / Notes
Thought to have originated in Somerset during the 18th century. The variety became widely planted in South Wales after being introduced during the 1800s, where it was particularly popular among mining communities.
Disease Resistance
Generally considered a hardy traditional orchard variety with good field performance.

Harvesting Season
Early to mid-season, typically September.
Storage
Does not store well and is best used soon after harvest. The ideal eating, cooking, and pressing window is immediately after picking while the fruit retains its juicy texture and fruity aroma.
