Perthyre is a traditional Monmouthshire cider apple valued for producing an excellent single-variety cider.
It is a vigorous orchard tree with a spreading habit and strong cider-making credentials.

Origins / Notes
Originates from Perthyre Farm near Monmouth and was first recorded during the 1920s. It remains an important regional cider variety with strong links to the traditional orchards of South Wales.

Storage
Moderate storage qualities. Best used for cider production within a few weeks of harvest to retain optimum juice quality and flavour.
