Pitmaston Pineapple is a distinctive heritage dessert apple renowned for its rich, honeyed flavour and pineapple-like aroma.

It is excellent for fresh eating, produces delicious juice, and can add sweetness and complexity to cider blends.

Origins / Notes

Originated in Worcestershire during the late 1700s and was first exhibited at the Horticultural Society of London in 1845. It remains one of Britain's most distinctive heritage apples, prized for its unusual flavour and aromatic qualities.

Harvesting Season

Mid to late season, typically September to October.

Storage

Stores for up to 3 months in cold storage, although the flesh can become mealy if kept longer. Best eating window is from harvest through late autumn when texture and flavour are at their peak.
