Rajka Dessert

Rajka is a modern dessert apple producing crisp, very juicy fruit with a sweet-tart flavour and subtle strawberry notes when fully ripe.

It combines excellent eating quality with strong disease resistance and good storage performance.

Origins / Notes

Developed at the Institute of Experimental Botany in the Czech Republic and introduced in 1999. Rajka was bred to combine excellent flavour, disease resistance, and reliable orchard performance.

Resistant to apple scab and powdery mildew.

Harvesting Season

Mid to late season, typically September to October.

Storage

Keeps for up to 3 months in cold storage. Best eating window is from autumn into early winter, when the fruit retains its crisp texture and develops its fullest flavour.
