Suntan is a richly flavoured dessert apple producing juicy, cream-coloured flesh with a sweet-sharp balance and exceptional aromatic character.
It is highly regarded for its depth of flavour and benefits from being a late-flowering variety.

Origins / Notes
Raised in 1956 from a cross between Cox's Orange Pippin and Court Pendu Plat. It inherited the rich flavour of Cox while benefiting from the late flowering characteristics of Court Pendu Plat.

Late season, typically October.
Storage
Excellent storage qualities. Keeps for up to 4 months in cold storage.
Best eating window is from late autumn through winter, when the fruit develops even greater richness and complexity of flavour.
