Winter Gem is a modern disease-resistant dessert apple producing crisp, juicy fruit with a rich aromatic flavour reminiscent of Cox's Orange Pippin.
An excellent eating apple, it can also be used in the kitchen and stores exceptionally well into spring.

Origins / Notes
Originated in Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire, during the 1970s. Bred as a modern disease-resistant apple with the flavour characteristics of traditional English dessert apples, particularly Cox's Orange Pippin.

Mid-season
Harvesting Season
Mid-season, typically harvested during the first half of October.
Storage
Stores exceptionally well into spring.
Best eating window extends from late autumn through to March or April, with the fruit retaining its crisp texture and developing a fuller, richer flavour during storage.
